Resilient Urban Business and Enterprise Networks Project Survey

Businesses play a key role within community resilience – whether managing their own preparation against risks that may occur to ensure their business can survive, or responding to emergency incidents that affect them and their communities. Looking from the perspective of business networks and groups, this research is helping Local Resilience Forums (the bodies that look after resilience and emergency response) to understand what their current experiences are in emergency planning and response, insights into risk concern, and where support is most needed.

Who is the survey for?

This survey is for representatives from any business or enterprise network/ group in England (this can also include social enterprises). Although we have five geographical focus locations, we welcome any network from any area to complete this survey- thank you!

How does it help?

Businesses are so often left vulnerable to emergency incidents, or, would like to pull together to help in the response, but don’t know where to start. You will be helping provide key insight into the current work of business networks and groups like yours in the area of emergency incident planning and response, as well as shaping future support to strengthen this work. More specifically, the project team would love to connect with your network to provide any further information and support relevant to you where useful, including through your Local Resilience Forum. Hopefully, this survey will help you to think through how your network could engage with emergencies in your area or beyond in the future.

How is it being funded?

This work is being funded by the Innovation Fund from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to the Greater London Authority, with delivery partner Business in the Community.
