An Engaging Morning at the Invest in Huntingdonshire CEO Breakfast

On Wednesday 8th May we hosted our second Invest in Huntingdonshire CEO Breakfast at The Commemoration Hall in Huntingdon.

There were lots of engaging discussions and it was great to hear insights from Huntingdonshire District Council's Chief Executive, Michelle Sacks, Corporate Director for Place, Mike Gildersleeves and Assistant Director for Skills – Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority​, Claire Paul.

Some of the highlights included:

The opportunities provided by the Growth Works with Skills Team, whether that be from Apprenticeships, T-Levels, Skills Bootcamps or Interns.

The role that Employers may have, by engaging with the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority's Good Work Charter.

And the critical role that business networks, local government and strong stakeholders have, by communicating skills opportunities to the business community, but particularly small businesses, to ensure they don't get left behind.

As Michelle highlighted, these sessions are nothing without the valuable time, support and commitment from our esteemed business community.
