UK Research and Innovation: Funding finder

UK Research and Innovation is a non-departmental public body of the Government of the United Kingdom that directs research and innovation funding, funded through the science budget of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. 

There are currently over 130 funding opportunities available to apply for.

Keep+ Stand Alone Capital Grant

This organisation is a partnership of six academic institutions who work together to promote KEEP+ to eligible businesses developing innovative new products and services.

The stand alone capital grant is made up of 50% funding towards the cost of equipment purchases vital to the development of your new product or service, and the grant is capped at £12,499 with a total spend not exceeding £24,999 excluding VAT.

Apprenticeships Financial Help - a guide for East Cambs employers

There are various costs you need to consider when looking at taking on an apprentice. Smaller businesses may need to pay 10% towards the cost of their training fees payable directly to the Training Provider. This is in addition to the salary that you will need to pay the apprentice.

The funding that you can receive depends upon various factors: the age of the apprentice and also the size of your business.

Business Growth Programme - Short Courses

Fully funded short courses to support your workforce to help develop people, drive performance and transform your business. Provided by Ixion Holdings and delivered to small to medium-sized businesses in the Greater Cambridge and Peterborough area, these short courses start at Level 3 and include Customer Service Excellence, Sales Techniques, Leadership & Management and Team Leading.
